Unfortunately we do not have any private parking on site for parents/carers/students use.
However, many of the nearby residential roads between Dulwich Village and Herne Hill have pay parking between 12pm and 2pm to restrict commuters use. Therefore, there is usually plenty of space on these roads to park throughout the day and early evening.
The residential streets going up Herne Hill and Milkwood Road, towards Brockwell Park and on Dulwich Road are unrestricted parking.
Outside the shops on Half Moon Lane you can park for 30 minutes for free.
Public transport and cycling to South London Dance Studios
The studios are extremely well served with public transport and we urge you to consider not driving if possible. The train station is right at the back of the studios and there is a bus stop right at the front of the studios. You can get further information about buses and trains from your area to Herne Hill at www.tfl.gov.uk or call 020 7222 1234
We have undercover bicycle parking spaces at the back of the studios. If you are using these, you can go directly to the back of the studios (Milkwood Road) and park your bike on the bicycle stands (remember to bring your own lock). To get back into the building, you will need the combination for the coded back door – you will need to ask a teacher for this.
Access to South London Dance Studios
The front door is coded and you will need to ask your child’s teacher for the combination when you come to the studios for the first time. It is extremely important that you do not give out the combination to anyone else otherwise security will be compromised.
Also, please do not let anyone into the studios you do not know; let them press the buzzer and wait for a teacher to attend to them when possible.
Lambeth Council have enforced that everyone must exit at the back of the building onto Milkwood Road.
Please respect this policy to avoid overcrowding on the pavement on Herne Hill.
Parents / carers with buggies / prams / pushchairs
Buggies must be left in the undercover area at the side of the building (next to the bicycle stands). You will need to bring your own lock to secure your buggy to the hoops on the wall (a bicycle lock would work well). To get back into the building, you will need the combination for the coded back door – you will need to ask a teacher for this.
No buggies are allowed to be stored inside the building (unless they have sleeping children inside)
