ISTD BALLET, TAP, MODERN & NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS & SHOWS
Examinations
Children
can be entered into ISTD* examinations throughout their training as long as
they are attending all the recommended classes. The teacher decides when a child is ready to take an examination and we
politely ask that parents / guardians respect this decision as it is always for
the benefit of the child.
When
a child is offered an examination, we recommend that they do enter and ask that
parents are supportive of the requirement for extra lessons prior to the
examination. Examinations are a good
consolidation of class work, encourage focus and commitment, and promote a
sense of achievement.

Shows
& Presentations
Full scale dance shows are presented every 3-4 years, with a ‘Presentation of Class Work’ in the interim years. Rehearsals are in addition to regular classes and therefore require extra commitment from parent/guardian and child.
Our
most recent show was ‘We Can Dance!’ presented at the Michael Croft Theatre in
East Dulwich in June 2010. We hope you
enjoy the pictures below of our ‘Alice
in Wonderland’ ballet sequence.
Our
next ‘Presentation of Class Work’ will be at the Michael Croft Theatre in East
Dulwich on Sunday 26th February 2012 and our next full scale dance show is
planned for March 2013. We do hope you
can join us. Please watch our General
Noticeboard page for information about booking tickets. All proceeds for our 2012 Presentation will
go to the Charlotte Foundation.

And
here are some of our rehearsal shots for Alice . . .
